still you keep me coming back

I got this dress from H&M, it's so pretty but a difficult length-too long to wear over shorts but too short to wear without. Hmmm! I don't know whether to return of not?

This week
  1. A big food festival hit the town of the restaurant I work in meaning this past week has left me slightly crazy and completely worn out.
  2. My brother got attacked by a random teenager this weekend too. Years of living in big, 'rough' Northern cities with no trouble and we move to a sleepy beach town and both me and my brother have been victims of unprovoked assault within two months. It's gotten me very angry!
  3. My Entourage addiction is slowly coming to a end. I ordered series 3 on Amazon Marketplace and was rather bemused when it arrived from Israel. I've been assured that it's all in English but I'm not sure if the handful of words I know in Hebrew are going to help me through the root menu and language features haha  
  4. My older brother has said I can borrow his Canon 400d for the next year :) very nice of him! I was saving up hard for one which means I don't need to fret so much about finances and I have more of a safety net in America. Although I need to really get use to using it; time to hunt some youtube tutorials.
  5. I was quite upset about Amy Winehouse's passing. I saw her live at a couple of festivals and although at both events she was clearly troubled, her talent always shone. I was also annoyed by my Facebook news feed being filled up with posts declaring Norway's attacks more horrifying. Yes, the scale of the events were disgusting and tragic but they don't need to be compared and people can morn both.

I've given up trying to sell stuff on ebay- it costs money even if it fails pah! As I've got quite a few nice items I'd kinda like to do a swap- I don't know if anyone's interested, or if a few bloggers are and from the South East or London area fancy a meetup swapshop?

      thats so fun that you get to borrow your brothers camera!! I secretly want a cannon SO bad, but my husband has a nikon, so we just use that:) someday I hope to have a cannon though!

    3. That dress is so pretty! When I have awkward length dresses I tend to put a slip underneath, so it peeks out enough for me not to feel uncomfortable wearing such a short dress ^^

    4. Love your new dress, can't really tell from the picture how long/short it would be....it is gorgeous though.
      I was annoyed with comments on facebook aswell, seems like some people were even happy she had died but I don't know how you could possible wish that on anyone! xxx

    6. I'm so sorry your brother was attacked - it's a horrible thing to happen. I was mugged twice while living in Nottingham, although I still loved the city, and it can really damage your confidence. Hope he wasn't injured!

      I know what you mean re: the Amy Winehouse VS Norway Facebook status deathmatch. Seems a little wrong that people were saying you couldn't find Amy's passing tragic when there were those more innocent slain by a nutter. I do wonder where people get this black and white 'one or the other' mentality from!

    7. I hate having that problem with dresses. Maybe you should just rock it with some longer shorts! Also, that's scary about your brother! Be careful! Thirdly, I love Entourage, gotta watch that final season this summer!

    15. I think the dress is lovely, maybe could be worn with cycling shorts underneath? What sort of things do you have to swap? I'm in London and have items I maybe can't be bothered to ebay.. xx
