forever young

I saw a T-shirt in Zara's sale today with the slogan "we'll never be as young as we are now"- HOW DEPRESSING IS THAT?! Like pretty much everything I saw in my trundle around the shops this morning I thought 'this is reduced for a reason'.

Does anyone else feel that a lot of T-Shirts in shops at the moment appear to be designed by people that have got carried away? Part of it is really nice but then something's been added that has destroyed it? I.e. A nice illustration or photograph is ruined by a bow/diamantes or corny inscription ...And what's with the random internet abbreviations? Why would I want to wear anything with 'FYI' or 'LOL' on it?

Although I'm saving hard at the moment, there's not a lot I'm seeing about that I want to spend my money on!

 *************************

I bought these shorts last year and they're quite hard to style.. I've kinda ended up working the 'bored 90s teenage tourist' look heh!

topshop shorts, UO top, H! boots, Tatty Devine necklace

I'm so pale in these shots haha! The rest of my family who have inherited the darker skin and fairer hair are always ridiculing me for being so white.. I have a hard time convincing people I'm not a goth

  2. I know what you mean about t-shirts....and how hard can it be to design a top!! Shorts are really cute, bet the trouble with styling them is they could look like pj's, love how you teamed them with darker colours xxx

  3. I feel the distaste for some of the tees about at the moment. I found a 'talk to the hand' t-shirt a few days ago and my only thought was . . . . really!?

Love the shorts!! I'd probably go a little boho with them and add a belted kaftan, some long necklaces and some tan coloured sandals.

  7. totally agree with you, that slogan is so depressing. Just found your blog it's so cute and I really like this outfit and you're right about some designers just adding too much on t-shirts these days. I like my t's to be simple and your's in this outfit is perfect!

  10. Completely agree with you about the shirts with stupid words on or something like that. I see too many of these at work and give them huge scowls.

  12. Oh my, I completely agree that too many shirts are ruined by terrible sayings. I think your outfit is very cute though! Especially your purse; the keycains give the bag a certain charm. pretty pretty :)

  14. Those shorts are so cute! I really like the way you've styled them here. I think they'd also look great with just a simple white vest top and lots of gold jewellery!

I totally agree about all the tacky t-shirts around on the high street - New Look and Primark are especially bad for it!

  16. A student at my school (I'm a teacher) had a shirt that read "I'm the oldest I've ever been". Kind of like the t shirt you saw, but more positive and funny!
